It’s hard to remember everything before starting a project. And it doesn’t matter how much thinking or strategy you’ve done, it doesn’t always go to plan.
It doesn't matter how much strategy or forward-thinking you do when it comes to choosing the right tools for your business, you're always going to forget something.
So it's always good to have a second opinion.
The reason why today's video is late is because I thought I had every tool I needed to take this goddamn gas tank out of my truck. But no, I missed out on a few things.
Well, I didn't forget about them. I just didn't think I would need them. And that's the same as getting tools for your business.
You don't think you need a specific tool until you start working with a tool you've picked and then realise, oh, shit, I need something else. Then you start cello-taping things together. And get annoyed when something isn't working. So you get frustrated.
But the good thing is you can step back and ask, "Okay, well, what else do I need?" And as I've always said, always think of your workflow. Work backwards because we tend to work slower when you work backwards.
And once you have that workflow, you can then go and pick the right tools. But don't forget, doesn't matter how much strategy you do or how much forward thinking you do, you're always going to miss something.
So don't get frustrated. Like I was almost going to kick my car and smash the windows because I forgot a few things. I always think of the end result, "Okay, once I've done this, I know it's going to be great."
Now I've calmed down a bit. I'm going to rethink what I need to do and go back again tomorrow with a smile on my face. And hopefully, get it done.
I'll let you know what's going on tomorrow.
