Work on your own flow, don't copy

If you find a workflow, you like and simply copy it, you might find it won't work for you. Your workflow should be something you come up with, not a copy of someone else's.

Hope you had a great weekend. Mine was pretty chilled and relaxed. I was doing some work. I was basically thinking about some things I need to change in my business and so on.

One topic, however that came up, I received an email from somebody and they basically said that they were trying to use this product.

This product being Notion, and they're having troubles in understanding, the program because they're watching... they were watching too many videos.

Now, the thing is when you watch videos about someone's workflow, what you shouldn't be doing is copying, what you shouldn't be doing is looking for a workflow and going, Oh, that's it that's what I want.

Because your workflow in the way you work is completely different to the next person, to me, to anyone else.

When I'm doing coaching. When I coach my clients generally I try to find out what it is that they need, what it is that they're trying to do, and then find a suitable workflow for that.

Whether it's an app, whether it's an app they already have and the way they use it.

What I don't do, and what you shouldn't do is basically find a workflow or, you know, force my workflow onto someone else.

So finding a workflow, because somebody is working that way, in this particular program doesn't mean that you should just copy it, and all of a sudden you become more productive.

I wish it worked like that... in a way, I actually, I don't wish it worked like that because again, like I said, you need to find the right workflow for you.

What you do for work is completely different to what I do for work. It's completely different to what your neighbor does for work.

So trying to copy their workflow, copy someone else's workflow, just won't work... flow.

So you need to find your own... yeah flow. I mean, there is no other word for it. Just your own workflow. Once you found it, however, you'd be amazed.

Again, once you find what you need to do, then find the tools, find the holes in your workflow and get the tools to help you that way. I think it will be way better.

I think I'm going to leave it there. I think that makes sense. Anyway, yeah, I think I'll leave it there. If you have any questions, put them down below. There's a chat feature below, or sign up for my video course it's free. It's down below.

Just one thing, last week on Friday, I did say I was going to change camera angle. I tried it didn't work. So I'm back to this.

Anyway. Have a great day. I'll see you tomorrow as always.

Keep IT Simple. See you then.
