It's kind of an it's kind of it's kind of annoying that I didn't make the video yesterday and I overlooked simplicity
00:00 --> 00:07

Let me explain
00:07 --> 00:09

So, you know when you have a tool and you have a tool
00:09 --> 00:13

Bag, you know, the tool is in there your gut feeling tells you that tool is in there, but you look absolutely everywhere
00:13 --> 00:22

But that one place so you turn over the house you spend hours looking for it
00:22 --> 00:29

You still haven't looked in that tool bag you sit down you have a drink you have a cigar cigarette
00:29 --> 00:33

Whatever you chill and after a few hours you go and you know
00:33 --> 00:37

I'll go and have a look at that toolbox and you find it in the toolbox. It's in the toolbox
00:37 --> 00:41

So you kind of complicated the whole simple process?
00:41 --> 00:45

IE going to the toolbox first to finding that problem, you know finding the hammer whatever it is
00:45 --> 00:53

But you wanted to do all this other complicated stuff
00:53 --> 00:57

For some reason and we've all done it. We have all done it and I've done it many times personally and professionally
00:57 --> 01:03

especially professionally because working in tech you kind of have to diagnose things so you're
01:03 --> 01:10

Sometimes you think okay. Let me check the most complicated thing first
01:10 --> 01:15

Before oh, it's actually that simple that that's all it is
01:15 --> 01:20

And that was what happened yesterday. So yesterday I
01:20 --> 01:23

Couldn't get online. Yeah, I work remotely
01:23 --> 01:26

I was freaking out and I think that caused more of the issue than anything else
01:27 --> 01:31

But my iPhone was getting really really hot. I the internet was there but it was insanely slow
01:31 --> 01:37

I put it in the fridge and with my friend's place put it in the fridge cool it down
01:37 --> 01:41

Restarted it did everything and it just wouldn't do anything. It just wouldn't let me have proper internet was insanely slow
01:41 --> 01:50

It was like 1g for instance
01:50 --> 01:52

After three hours, I was like I
01:53 --> 01:57

This is this makes no sense. So I looked at it again and it took me yet another hour or so to figure out
01:57 --> 02:04

It was actually the most simple thing
02:04 --> 02:07

It wasn't it wasn't a battery issue because I was phoning around to see where I can get a battery
02:07 --> 02:11

It wasn't the phone being dead. I was phoning around everywhere where I can try to get another phone
02:11 --> 02:17

And what I was thinking was well, I'll get to that
02:17 --> 02:21

And guess what it was if I told you you probably won't work with me
02:22 --> 02:25

but anyway
02:25 --> 02:26

it was me running out of my my data and the reason I ran out of my data is because I have an app on
02:26 --> 02:32

my computer that tells that
02:32 --> 02:34

Switches off the iCloud syncing because it takes a lot of data and that must have been on all night. So it was
02:34 --> 02:41

uploading doing stuff
02:41 --> 02:44

That it shouldn't have been run out of
02:44 --> 02:46

Data and that's why it was getting really hot because it was doing all of this transfer
02:48 --> 02:53

so it was actually the simplest thing and I overlooked it, so don't overlook simplicity because
02:53 --> 03:01

Even with your tools getting that simple tool will do a lot more than getting all that complicated stuff
03:01 --> 03:09

That just won't actually help you
03:09 --> 03:11

It happened to me happens to everyone
03:11 --> 03:14

But yeah, I want to get a dumb phone. I found the Nokia. That's a dumb phone that has
03:15 --> 03:20

Wi-Fi hotspot and I wanted a dumb phone because then I can keep it as a secondary phone rather than buying another expensive iPhone
03:20 --> 03:29

Keep it simple
03:29 --> 03:32

look at the simplicity of the things around you rather than
03:32 --> 03:35

complicating things and looking at the complex things around you or
03:35 --> 03:41

The complex solution that you need for running your business. Keep it simple. I'll see you tomorrow
03:42 --> 03:48

No tomorrow is I'm forgetting what day is I see on Monday
03:48 --> 03:53

Take care. Bye
03:53 --> 03:56
