Friday Fury: Too much technology
We live in a world where technology is there to help us, and for the most part, it does. However, some things have that simply too much tech!

In today's Friday at Fury, I want to talk about technology.
Too much technology. This is my car. I love my car. Have a look at it. It's a great car. It's a Mercedes. It doesn't squeak. I love this thing. It's comfortable.
I bought the longer version because I wanted my dog, Woof!, to be comfortable in the back. This car has taken me to Spain and Portugal twice on two different trips.
The first time I was there, the starter motor died. And because of the way it's built, you had to pull the engine out, and obviously, I couldn't do it on my own. I couldn't find anyone in Portugal or Spain to do it. So I limped it home—literally 20 hours. I didn't sleep. I had naps. Got it fixed. It was great!
But ever since then, I've noticed little things going wrong, like many sensors. Because this thing has a computer, all modern cars have computers and a lot of technology for it to work. The problem with computers in cars is that once one thing goes, something else goes. It's a domino effect.
So having too much technology is never a good thing. That's why I say get rid of too much technology. You don't need it in your business. If you have too many SOPs, too many email addresses, too much tech. Again domino effect.
And that's what happened with my car.
Yesterday I was in Germany. I drove there to relax. I got to the parking spot. All of a sudden, the ABS light came on. Now I've had this issue before, so I went to a garage, and they helped me fix it. It was a simple switch. It was like a 20 bucks switch we put it in, and bingo!
The problem now is that it's happened again. And I don't know what it was this time. So this morning, I had to limp it all the way to my garage at 50km/h!!
However, as soon as I got here, the problem disappeared. I couldn't believe it. So now I don't know what the hell the problem is. So I'm going to the garage again, put connect a computer and test it again.
But the point is too much technology can cause headaches with everything. And that's why I say get rid of too much tech in your business. Too many emails, too many SOPs, as I said.
There's too much stuff that you do not need. And that's the same with modern cars. Too much tech.
This is why I'm rebuilding my truck, so when I do go away again, I can fix it myself. And usually, with old cars, you can fix it with a hammer!!
Get rid of too much tech. You'll be a lot happier. Anyway, have a great weekend. I'll see you next week.
